In May of 2025 a Transitional Plan was approved for the purpose of moving Bluestone toward a Board-Directed 501(c)3 organization that is independent of oversight by the Presbytery of West Virginia.

A group known as the Bluestone Transitional Board was formed in May of 2026. They have been meeting and working diligently ever since to move the transition process forward. The goal and timeline is to be fully transitioned by the end of year 2030.
