The “Hogan Experience” is rustic living in a remote setting away from the main campus. A Bluestone Hogan is an open-air frame structure with canvas tarps covering all the windows and doors.
Campers will learn and put into practice a variety of outdoor living skills… including cooking with Dutch Ovens! At least one meal will be planned, prepared, and cooked over an open fire each day of their week at camp. Vespers by campfire light will complete each day.
Camper groups will also have the option to participate in extended wilderness hikes and/or paddle seven miles of the Bluestone Reservoir in canoes from Indian Creek to Bertha. In addition, they will experience a meditative “Quest Walk”.
Be advised that there is limited capacity for these sessions due to the pandemic.
