ABOUT OUR SUMMER CAMPING PROGRAM
Bluestone’s primary mission is our Summer Camping Program, and though we are back up and running again, we remain mindful that we are still in the midst of a pandemic.
For that reason, we have chosen to go with a “Family Group” model to utilize our cabin lodging spaces. We are also offering our traditional Hogan Venture Camp experience to high school age youth with limited enrollment. You can read the program descriptions for both camps by clicking on the links above.
Our traditional small group camping experience creates an atmosphere where campers may begin to assume responsibility for living a Christian lifestyle, and become nurtured in faith. We work intentionally to create an environment that is physically, psychologically and theologically safe. Our “all-camp” activities are designed to engage every age group at camp together at once in common experiences to model living and being within a larger community context.
The addition of Family Camp to our program is something we hope will encourage families and others to become more a part of what we’ve always done at Bluestone, which is, to live more fully into Christian community through the shared experience of camp. It’s “friendship for a lifetime and a family that grows…” In a nutshell, that’s Bluestone!
Our excellent counselor staff of college-age young adults and adult program volunteers will engage you in a wide range of camping activities which include swimming, canoeing, campfires, cookouts, climbing wall, hiking, field games, crafts, singing, skits, picnics, worship, and Bible study. Get ready for a fun-filled week in the mountains! Find the week of camp that is best for you and register early!
